Flying Lesson, New Projects

I was feeling adventurous this week so I decided to set up a flying lesson for yesterday. My Mom had taken a few and kept telling me how great they were, so I somehow woke up at 7 a.m. to head up to a small airport in Buffalo. When I got there my instructor started teaching me a few basics and gave me a booklet to study, then we hopped right in the plane lol. I didn’t take any pictures, but it looked similar to this one:

TBH I fully expected the cockpit to look like this, but in reality its much simpler than I thought. He taught me what the important buttons/levers/switches did, and then he had me taxi down to the runway. We were going through the preflight check list which took like five minutes, then all of a sudden he was like “Ok, take off.” I still felt like I had no idea what was going on, but I said “Sure, no problem.”

Haha so basically I started tearing down the runway and yanked back on the yolk, and it took off – one of the coolest feelings I’ve had in a while. We flew around for an hour or so, and then he showed me how to land. We took off again and I tried landing it myself – a little bumpy, but we got her down.

It’s definitely not a cheap hobby but I think eventually I’m gonna man up and take the 20 or so lessons it’ll take to get my private license.

Business (or lack thereof)

To be honest I haven’t been working much lately. I golf almost every day, and work out too so sometimes I’m too burnt out to get real work done. Basically all I’ve done lately that is interesting is bought a few domains I’m really excited about.

The first domain is InternetCasino.org, and obviously is going to be targeting Internet Casino searches. I’ve got probably 75% of the site’s content up at the moment, and am going to be adding the rest next week. I think this site could do really well if I ever can get focused again. The other domain doesn’t have anything up yet, so I’ll make a post later about that one when it’s done. Besides that, I’ve just been maintaining my current sites, and waiting for my video poker site to get its act together in the SERPs.

Right now I’m about to leave for Canada with a couple friends to party for the 4th. Unpatriotic, I know, but that’s the reality of being under 21. If anybody is in the Niagara Falls area get a hold of me and we can meet up.
