30 Day Goal Complete… Kinda

If you’re a new reader of my blog you probably missed one of my first posts, which was a 30 day goal I set for myself on November 5th. Here is the original post, and basically it outlined all the content I planned to write, and some links I wanted to get. I’m a few days late on writing the completion report, but here it is:

Goal #1 – 60 Pages of Content for PokerSite.org

When I started the 30 day goal I went on a tear writing for PokerSite.org, and finished 30 articles up really quick. However, I then realized that some of the articles I outsourced prevoiusly weren’t quite up to snuff, so I ended up going back and re-doing a lot of them. That set me back on my new content goal, so I outsourced the remaining 30 articles to LadyHoldem and should be getting the first delivery soon. I’ll count this goal as half completed lol.

Goal #2 – 30 Pages of Content for PickCasinos.com

Ouch. Lol, I never really got around to these articles, and I only ended up finishing 5 or so. I outsourced the rest and expect them soon.

Goal #3 – 15 Articles with Links Back to my Poker Sites

I definitely got this one done, and probably exceeded the goal. After I posted on PAP and PAL offering writing in exchange for links, I got a ton of responses and had to really hustle to fill everyones requests. I definitely recommend offering this service if you’re a new affiliate without the resources to acquire links in different ways.

Goal #4 – 10 Articles with Links Back to my Casino Sites

Once again, I never really got around to this. I really focused on the poker stuff this month and the casino stuff got pushed to the backburner, but over my Christmas break I really wanna get back on my casino sites.

My other two goals were basically to get a few links I had my eyes on, and to swap blogroll links on this blog. Both of those were done really quickly, so I left them off this list.

Overall I’m glad I did the 30 day goal even though I basically failed. I still got a lot more done than I would have without the goal, so I still see it as a success. For my next goal I’m probably going to break it down to a week-by-week type thing so the lists don’t look so impossible.
